Sarah Swedlow, MA, LPC, ATR
Hi, I’m Sarah! I am a licensed professional counselor and registered art therapist practicing in-person and virtually from Denver, CO. I’m so glad you’re here!
I earned my master’s degree in mental health counseling with a specialization in art therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Originally from Austin, Texas, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for creativity—whether through art, music, or other forms of self-expression—and I love bringing that into my work with clients.
I strive to create a warm, affirming space where you can show up exactly as you are. I especially enjoy working with healthcare professionals, creatives, neurodivergent individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community—people who are often holding a lot, navigating complex identities, or moving through systems that don’t always make space for them.
My approach is client-centered and collaborative, which means our work is guided by your needs, your pace, and what feels most supportive to you. With a background in expressive therapies, I offer creative pathways alongside traditional talk therapy to help you explore your inner world in ways that feel accessible and meaningful. No art experience is needed—just a willingness to be curious and open.
I have experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and burnout, including the pressures that can come with caregiving roles, creative work, and navigating identity. Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to face it alone.
If you are interested in services through your insurance, I am paneled with most major providers at Higher Sights Counseling.
